- Examine the note on the floor below the padlock: it says Triangle = number of arms. Count the arms on the paper figure — eight.
- Look left and right: the cages are numbered 3-4 on your left and 6-7 on your right, so yours is cage five. The floor note says Square = My Cage Number → Square = 5.
- Look into cage six (to your right): a paper on the floor shows the number 2 with a circle (O) below it → O = 2.
- Enter the combination on the padlock: O=2, Square=5, Triangle=8. The lock opens.
